From a distance, you might wonder if the chair is oddly bedazzled… Wait… Is it looking at you? With its hundred eyes? If you’re the type of person that always feels like someone’s watching you (cue Rockwell here), you might not want to spend a lot of time with Fiona Robert‘s curtains either. In this instance, closing the drapes won’t keep prying eyes out. And while you may have mistaken the eyeball chair as a strangely embellished seat from afar, it’s hard to draw a conclusion about the mouth chair once you see it, with its protruding lips and its hair-wrapped surfaces… Except that, perhaps it’s not for sitting?
If you’re intrigued, and not unsettled, by the Australian artist’s take on home furnishings, you may be interested in the bedroom she designed, as part of the same art series “Intimate Vestiges.”
