Paris fashion house Lanvin released their 2015 Resort collection under the direction of Isreali fashion designer Alber Elbaz. With fabrics sourced from Florence, Italy, he flew to New York to present the Lanvin collection at Milk Studios. The lookbook, modeled by American musician and model Jamie Bochert, pinpointed the reminiscent feminine beauty of the 70s mixed with a glam rock look.

“We love black but we need colour,” said Elbaz to Style.com before the show. A bright orange silk blouse, a rustic green gown, and a dusty pink dress are some of the only colorful pieces that weave their way into the mainly black and white collection.

The flower imagery is the common theme linking all the pieces together; a silk scarf pinned with a flower, flowery embroidery down the leg of a tuxedo pant, a waist belt with adorned with a carnation… Mixed in with loafers and eclectic minaudières, the collection is chic, comfortable and absolutely stunning. As Elbaz said to Pret-a-Reporter, “I’m always searching for the right balance—in fashion we have need and we have desire, but without beauty, we have nothing.”
