Riccardo Tisci’s goal with this Givenchy Spring/Summer 2015 collection was to capture a sense of nostalgia from when he began working in the fashion industry. The collection has a sense of elegance, yet an erotic allure that only a women could have. With lace, corsets, and stripes, this collection also has a taste of the Victorian Gothic era; circa 1800s. It’s definitely dark, romantic, and slightly bohemian.

Tisci wanted to bring back sensual, confident women, and dress her up in black sexy dresses. The mix of leather, eyelet on lace, and semi-precious gemstones breathe life back into the golden age of rock and roll and the romantic raciness of the Victorian era. Strategic cut-out designs show off the feminine figure. It’s very difficult to balance chic sophistication and rocker rebellion, but Tisci has found the perfect balance; giving women the ability to be elegant while preserving their wild girl glory.

The over the knee boots certainly add to sexual vibe and the black and white colour scheme give it a touch of class while maintaining rebellious femininity. The lace, straps, and sleek designs only add to the rocker image. The high-rise pants and waist defining dresses perfectly accentuate the women’s sexy curves.. In an age of strong, independent women, Tisci’s collection for Givenchy is one that transforms women into the epitome of confident and sexy.
